Everett Courtyard is very special here at Wheaton. Year-round it provides a nice place to relax on a bench or pass through on the way to the take free local transportation provided by the GATRA bus system. In May, it comes to life with excitement, joy and the pride of accomplishment when seniors line up to get ready for the Commencement procession.

Through the blue doors of the Slype, accessible from the courtyard, is the GATRA bus stop. GATRA provides transportation to local supermarkets, coffee shops and several retail stores and restaurants. The bus also goes to the nearby MBTA commuter rail that travels into Boston or Providence.

Wheaton’s Programming and Activities Council offers bus trips each year to various off-campus events and regional destinations like Provincetown on the Cape as well as New York City. Students also can have cars on campus starting their first year here.
