Science Center

Built in 1968, the Science Center was formerly the college’s main building for science, mathematics and computer science until the 2011 opening of the Mars Center for Science and Technology. The building still houses faculty offices, labs and lecture spaces, including the largest lecture hall on campus, Hindle Auditorium, which can seat 200 people. The remodeled lower level of the Science Center is now considered part of the Mars Center, with room numbers to indicate this. The building is also home to the college’s main makerspace, Lab 213—an interdisciplinary research lab that houses 3D printers and scanner, a laser cutter/engraver, a 5-axis computer-controlled milling machine and numerous other tools and toys used to create any number of new things.
